The Wedding of the Year?
Queen of quirk Solange Knowles got married.
2014 has had its fair share of flashy weddings, from the low key but still charming Jolie-Pitt wedding to George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin’s well publicised Venice wedding to the incredibly lavish Kimye union (A fortress in Florence, performance by Lana Del Rey). But this week Solange Knowles’ marriage to long time boyfriend, director Alan Ferguson took the top spot as the coolest wedding of the year.
Paparazzi pictures emerged of Solange and her soon to be hubby riding through the streets of New Orleans on white bicycles. Solange clad in a gorgeous white Stephanie Roland onesie that looked to be straight out of the 70s, while Ferguson donned a white Lanvin suit.
Our thirst for more pictures from the big day was quenched by sister Beyoncé, who has seemingly uploaded Solange’s entire wedding album to her Instagram (not complaining).
‘Yoncé shared a photo of the bride and groom pre-wedding, showcasing Solange’s caped Humberto Leon for Kenzo gown (incredible), as well as a photo of the bridal party which included Queen Bey herself and mother Tina Knowles.
In a moment that will surely bring a tear to your eye, Solange and her son, Daniel Julez performed a pre-choreographed dance to Rae Sremmurd’s “No Flex Zone” at the reception (aww).
